This Privacy Policy describes how Flashvue — published by Gary Sheehan (the “Publisher”) — collects, uses, and protects personal data in connection with this marketing site and Flashvue fundraising services.

The Publisher is controller for personal data processed via this marketing site (flashvue.fr) and for Flashvue service administration (partner / organisation accounts, support, and related communications).

For player, supporter, or member data that an approved organisation collects through a Flashvue competition, that organisation typically acts as controller. Flashvue acts as processor, providing the games and hosting under the organisation’s instructions, except where the Publisher is controller for its own accounts and this marketing site.

2. Key commitments

  • No advertising or analytics cookies on this marketing site today. We do not track browsing behaviour for advertising, and we never sell personal data to third parties.
  • Organisation data control: each club or charity remains controller of supporter and player data it collects through its competitions, except as described above.
  • We only collect personal data that is reasonably necessary for service delivery, security, and legal obligations.

3. Data collected & purposes

Marketing site (flashvue.fr)

  • Contact form: name, email, subject, message.
  • Apply form: organisation name, type (club / charity / other), your name, email, optional message.
  • Technical data needed to run the site securely (for example IP address used briefly for spam rate-limiting).

Purpose: respond to enquiries and review applications. Legal basis: legitimate interests and/or steps prior to a contract.

Flashvue service accounts

  • Data: name, email, organisation name, and any other contact details you provide after approval.
  • Purpose: account provisioning, support, and essential service notifications.
  • Legal basis: performance of a contract, and legal obligations where accounting or tax rules apply.

We also process technical logs required for security, support, and reliable email delivery (legitimate interests / security).

4. Cookies & tracking

In line with the GDPR and CNIL guidance, this marketing site does not use analytics tracking, advertising pixels, or third-party profiling cookies. We do not show a consent banner while only strictly necessary cookies are used.

Strictly necessary technical cookies may include:

  • Session and security cookies — essential for platform operation, authenticated sessions, and protecting forms against abuse.
  • Payment cookies — only when card payment is used, as required by the payment gateway (for example Stripe) to process transaction security checks.

If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies later, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.

5. Data sharing & hosting

  • Hosting: Flashvue services are hosted on secure servers located in the European Union where practicable.
  • Processors: we use essential service providers required to run the platform — for example our hosting provider, transactional email provider, and, when card payment is used, a payment processor such as Stripe. They process personal data only to deliver their service.
  • We never sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.

6. Data retention

  • Enquiry and application emails: kept as long as needed to respond and manage the relationship, then deleted or archived under normal business practice.
  • Account data: retained for the duration of the active service, plus statutory archival periods required under accounting and tax laws (up to ten (10) years where applicable).

7. Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the EU / EEA (including France), you may have the right to:

Players and supporters: to exercise rights regarding competition or fundraising data collected by a club or charity, contact that organisation directly — they are typically the controller for that data. Flashvue will assist the organisation as processor where appropriate.

8. FCOS (club operating system)

FCOS is a separate product from the same publisher. Club-OS data (memberships, rosters, portal accounts, Club Site content) is processed under the FCOS privacy policy, not this one. FCOS Privacy policy

If a football club uses both products, Stripe Connect may show the Flashvue platform name while the club connected the account on FCOS. That does not merge the two privacy policies.
